You don't have to live like a refugee

I am thankful for many things including the many freedoms I enjoy that others are not as fortunate to have. I am comforted knowing Christ's mercy does not depend on material goods.

  1. Indeed! Although I wonder at what point material prosperity passes from curbing evil (when people have no reason to steal to eat, for example) to promoting it (gluttony, waste, complacency).

    Perhaps my question mixes the temporal and eternal kingdoms unwisely, though, as it's not the fault of *riches* that we have sinful natures. It does seem, though, that every person has a point of "too much" where they cannot wisely handle the level of power their wealth brings...

    Just rambling. =)
